RFQ: Electric Outdoors EO Canopy Project for Summer 2024

Electric Outdoors, Inc, headquartered in Southfield, Michigan, is on a mission to connect people with sustainable outdoor experiences. Together with our partners Centrepolis Accelerator, OFME, and Shophouse Park, we are bringing an off-grid, portable, solar-powered destination camping system to life to help landowners unlock their resources, facilitating the influx of electric vehicles coming to the great outdoors.

EO strives to bring new partnerships, innovation, jobs, and revenue to the state of Michigan, innovating in the intersection of e-mobility and outdoor recreation.

Together with Centrepolis, OFME, and Veolectra as main partners, EO has developed a prototype and proof of concept located and tested at Veolectra’s property in Farmington Hills.

This RFQ is intended to cover moving the proof of concept prototype to a commercialized beta-level product to be deployed and tested in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula in the summer of 2024.

Timing: June 2024

Tasks:
- Design and engineer a lightweight habitable structure based on sustainable materials while applying learnings from the Proof-of-Concept unit.
- Design a modular habitat structure with snap-fit connections allowing for a flat pack shipping process.
- Design an assembled habitat structure that is convertible into an on-highway towable trailer.
- Design a connected assembled habitat structure with built-in energy storage, water generation and waste storage.
- Build a minimum of 4 units at a to-be-determined cost for each unit.

EO is looking for a partner that:
- Can design and fabricate all items above.
- Collaborate in all design aspects of the execution.
- Provide a facility to support EO, Centrepolis, and appointed third parties for fabrication, technology integration, and other work on the product.
